What the Difference between ANSI 107-2004 & ANSI 207-2006? 

The main difference between ANSI-207 & ANSI-107 is that the ANSI-207 standard requires less fluorescent background material than an ANSI-107 Class 2 Vest. The amount of required background material on an ANSI-207 garment (450 in2) falls right between ANSI-107 Class 1 (217 in2) & Class 2 (775 in2).

This difference in background material allows for the design to be shortened allowing easy access to the equipment belts that are worn by most public safety personnel.
